Day 1 Akwaaba – Welcome

Our experienced guides will meet with you at the Kotoka International airport Accra and transfer you to your hotel in Anomabo approx 2hours drive from the airport. After checking in you will spend the rest of the evening relaxing.

Day 2 KUMASI – TECHIMAN

After breakfast we set off on the beginning of our Northern adventure, next stop is Techiman and the sacred monkeys of Boabeng-Fiema.

Here, in a twin village community, an eco-tourism and nature conservation project, the Mona Monkeys, Black and White Colobus monkeys, and humans live in harmony side by side.

Because of the intimate relationship between the monkeys and the village people you have a good chance of close contact with the animals. We will also visit the monkey cemetery, where the dead monkeys are buried as humans.

Day 3 TECHIMAN – MOLE

After breakfast we shall drive further north through Techiman to Damango. This drives you through the rural villages of Ghana.
After lunch, we shall embark on an afternoon foot safari with an arm ranger to view West Africa's big game.

Day 4 MOLE NATIONAL PARK

A full day of game viewing at both trekking with the rangers and from the viewpoint at the motel. Why not also spend some time either relaxing at the pool or just have a cold drink at the lovely restaurant.

Among other animals residing in Mole National Park we will see: - Elephants - Roan Antelopes - Olive Baboons

Day 5 MOLE-LARABANGA-TECHIMAN

After breakfast, we leave for the ancient village of Larabanga, where you will witness the traditional way of life of the African rural communities, see the historic mosque and mystic stone situated in Larabanga.

After Larabange we head south to the beautiful Kintampo waterfalls, and then onwards for an over night in Techiman.

Kumasi Market Ghana

Day 6 KUMASI CITY TOUR

We drive to Kumasi (Ghana´s second city the seat of the Ashanti Empire to explore the legends of the famous Ashanti’s, whose legacies are still evident today.)

Here we will visit the largest open market in West Africa – a true experience! After lunch, visit Manhyia Palace Museum, to obtain firsthand information on the legacies of the Ashanti kingdom. A regal history that dates back to 1700 is told with relics and artifacts.

Enjoy a drive through the city with monuments dedicated to the memory of the great Ashanti people, and at the end of the day we visit national culture centre which features prempeh the II jublee museum and various studios of the brass makers, potters and batik makers.

Day 7 BEACH DAY

Relax and enjoy the sandy beach of the atlantic ocean at Anomabo.

Day 8 KAKUM NATIONALPARK – CAPE COAST CASTLE & ELMINA CASTLE

Early morning departure for a drive through the historic Denkyira Kingdom to Kakum National Park. This is one of West Africa’s surviving tropical rain forests. Here you will have a walk among the treetops on the Canopy walkway which is made up of seven bridges extending 330m, hanging 30m (100ft) above the forest floor. There is an optional 2 km (1.2 mi) nature walk through this forest to discover the wide variety of exotic floral species and the medicinal values they offer or take a walk on the canopy walkway.

Lunch at Hans cottage hotel for a nice crocodile spot.

After lunch we drive to the Central Region to tour the infamous Forts, Castles and Slave Dungeons of Ghana. History will unfold the story of the slave trade which the impact is still felt beyond the shores of Africa today. Visit the Cape Coast Castle built in 1653, that today houses the West African Historical Museum. After lunch we visit the Elmina Castle built in 1482 – the first European structure built in Sub -Saharan Africa.
The view of the colorful harbor nestle below the Elmina Castle, full of pirogues preparing to go to sea offers one of West Africa’s best picture perfect opportunities.

Day 9 Mensomego Bamboo Orchestra

Withness our cultural drumming & performance witch goes with the resonant tunes of Adowa & Kete traditional Ghanaian songs. Explore the historic town of Anamobo with it’s colorful pusuban shrines dates back to the fante fore fathers. Relax at the beach treat yourself with a coctail prior to taken dinner of freshly caught seafood on the ocean front terrace.

Independence Square, Accra, Ghana

Day 10 Accra City Tour

This city, that dates back to the 15th century, has a blend of colonial and modern architecture that summarize her history. You will visit: * the W. E. B. Dubois Center for Pan African Culture * Independence/ Black Star Square * Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. We will also make a stop at the Arts Centre where you will have an opportunity to use your bargaining skills to shop from an open-air market for artifacts from Ghana and West Africa. We will also stop for a visit to a coffin maker who specialized in different types of coffins (trucks, cows…).

After this we will take you back to the Kotoka International airport for check-in and departure home or the next adventure.
