Day 1 AKWAABA - WELCOME
Our experienced guides will meet with you at the Kotoka International airport Accra and transfer you to Hunters hotel at Windy Bay Reserve.
Day 2 WINDY BAY RESERVE
The day start with a short tour discussion and then the birdwatching begins at Windy Bay Reserve, where the most hardened birder shall be dazzled with one gem to the next.
Day 3 KAKUM KANOPY
The Kanopy walkway, 30 meters above the forest floor provides a superb view various species of birds like crowned & cassin´s hawk eagles, guinea & yellow billed turaco and many more.
Day 4 KAKUM NATIONAL PARK
Hike through Kakum National Park with its storey bird parties compose of greenbuls, sunbirds, warblers and other ground dwelling species like Elusive Nkulelengu rails.
Day 5 ABOABO
To Aboabo located at the eastern part of the park which harbours some of the eight bird species of global conservations concern.
Day 6 ANKASA RESOURCES RESERVES AND NINI SUHIEN
To Ankasa resources reserve and Nini Suhien for key birds like white crested tiger-heron, congo serpent eagle and many species of king fishers.
Day 7 ANKASA RESOURCES RESERVES AND NINI SUHIEN
Repeat our bird search on the same reserve, early in the morning.
Day 8 TANO DAM
To an excellent northern site of Tano Dam with its healthy population of water birds, variety of herons and warders.
Day 9 TANO DAM
To the other side of this dam to watch one of Africa´s most sought after birds and many world´s most unusual bird parties.
Day 10 MOLE NATIONAL PARK
To Mole National Park, which harbours the country´s largest population of birds including red cheeked cordonblue.
Day 11 MOLE NATIONAL PARK
To the rocky escarpment of this park notable for a family group of stone partridge, freckled nightjar and many other species of birds.
Day 12 MOLE NATIONAL PARK
We shall continue our birdwatching on the moist woodland surrounding the swam on this park which is the home to some special colorful birds in particular, the highly desirable oriole warbler, one of west Africa´s most beautiful birds and other targets in the woodland with several species of white-crowned robin chat, golden oriole and many beautiful birds.
Day 13 ATEWA RANGE FOREST RESERVE
Early departure from Mole National Park to Atewa Range Forest which provides the right attractions for birders with its 80 specific species like longtailed hawk, crown eagle, Afep pigeon and several others.
Day 14 ATEWA RANGE FOREST RESERVE
Change our path for other birds like western honey guide, spotted honey guide, blue headed crested fly catcher and many highland forest dwellers.
Day 15 BOBORI FOREST RESERVE
To Bobori forest reserve for many colorful forest dwellers.
Day 16 SHAIHILLS RESERVE - ACCRA AIRPORT
Before departure at the airport, our birding team shall take you to Shaihills reserve, being the highlights of Africa´s most sought after birds.
